SambaPOS V2 development was a great experience. We learned a lot of things about Open Source, Restaurant Business, Software Development and of course Self Employment :) Something we always wanted to improve was our communication infrastructure.
Forums is a great place for general communication but it is not good for collobrative documentation, news publishing and RSS. For this reason we used DokuWiki for documentation and Drupal for base sambapos.org website. But the problem was most people primarily visited forums and that forced us to post everything on forums. Documentation and Blog websites did not improved.
So we decided to build www.sambapos.org
On this website you will find everything about V3 and we won't use other websites for documentation and blog publishing.
As you use this website you'll earn points or badges. More reputation points will enable some more features. For example expert users will have personal blogs on this website and you'll be able to share your ideas with SambaPOS community.
If you can help us on proofreading documentation we can grant you editor access.
