Stop Duplicate Entries

Hi,

We have scenario where we issue loyalty cards to the customer for a specific fee. The Loyalty card is a Product Item and only one card can be issued per customer.

We have managed to add a Status field in the Entity customer and assign the values Issued and Not Issued respectively.

But once we have Issued the card we either want the Loyalty Card to be disabled for that customer, or when the user punches in the Loyalty Card the user should be prompted a message that the loyalty card has already been issued and doesn't add the loyalty card to the ticket.

I hope that I have explained my problem and is understood. Looking forward to a solution. Thanks.

Regards.

If someone is able to help out, can make the custom fields of the Entities Mandatory or Assign a Default Value. For Instance we have a status for Card with Values New and Issued.

Is it possible that when a customer is created, the user has to select the Status from the drop down or by default the New Card status appears.

Either one would be helpful, or any other way we can use Rules/Actions to update this field when the entity is created.

Thanks.
