Hi There,
At our restaurant we have different and unique specials board item almost every week.
So I have created a Product Category called "Board Special". I then created a Product within this category called "Specials" and the made this product have "Free Tag" and "Save Tags"
Challenge is that different items on our specials board have differing prices. The "Specials" product that I created in the system cannot have a "0.00" value.
I got around that limitation by assigning "0.50" to the "Specials" product and the on each tag I create i substract 0.50 cents ie: if the product is priced at $21.50, I enter the value of $21.00 in the tag. The system adds the base 0.50 and totals up to $21.50.
Issue1: Cannot create tag with Price, If I create a tag item from the POS screen the "Price" field is not updating the "Order Tags" list. Ie: If I create a "FOOD-A" +"21.00" . It creates the "FOOD-A" in the "Order Tags" section of the "Specials" Product with a price of "0.00".
Issue2: Cannot remove tags from POS. I am assuming the "REMOVE" button in the Free Tag Screen allows removing the buttons that have beeen created. I have tried clicking on "REMOVE" followed by the button that I wish to remove but nothing happens. I can manually delete the item from the Product "Specials" "OrderTags"
Sorry for the long post, but your work and help is much appreciated.
Thank you

Yes there seems to be a bug with Free Tag prices.
But I think you are over complicating the scenario. If your Specials change weekly, why not create Products for them.
Each week you
1. Remove Specials menu category
2. Remove old Special products
3. Add new Special products
4. Add Special category to menu
5 Mins work. No guessing on the prices for the staff, no Free Tagging.
Yep agreed the 5 mins workaround would be the way to go. The thinking behind the Crazy long winded approach was that, some of our dishes that are popular on the Board re appears frequently. So by creating a permanent tag we would have it there.. but I guess thats a lame reason.. So I will take up your suggestion. Thanks again.
