I can not get printing to work propperly

I have been racking my brain trying to get printing to work propperly. Any template i try prints terribly. The font is tiny, there are exclamation marks and * all down the left side on each line, and my receipts are cut off by the cutter before receipt finished printing leaving part of the receipt cut off. Same issue with kitchen printer. Also my cash drawer does not open. I have used my hardware with another system and everything works fine with it, What am i doing wrong? Please help me.
