New Installation for buffet restaurant

Hello,

We are planning to use SambaPOS for our buffet restaurant, need to clarify few points.

Can it support multi till systems (likewise we have 4 tills working at same time, any customer ordered some drink from POS1 and the bill needs to be accessed from any of other POS, lets say POS4.)

For the system to work, do we need to have any specific cash drawer or receipt printer or any USB/ethernet printer would do?

And cash drawer can RJ11 work or need USB.

Would appreciate if someone can put some light on it, have gone through the documentation available online, and spend some time going through it, however it was still not very clear and hence repeating the questions for you guys.

Plus, anyone out there, who might be interested in giving a supportive hand in installation and charge a reasonable amount for the same.

Regards

VJ

Well my friend, if you do not use sambapos not know what you're missing the system is amazing and in my opinion does something amazing, you can look at the documentation options for how to use it or someone here might charge you to assist you in your needs .

Thanks for the quick response, due to shortage of time, looking for someone who can give a helping hand in installing the system for us, ready to pay a reasonable charge for it.

Hello,

To answer our questions.

1) Yes SambaPos will work and support multiple till systems, the setup varies depending on the hardware and operating system you intend to use.  You could use one till as a server (which will contain the database) or use a separate PC to hold the database but all tills will be able to access the same information and print bills/kitchen tickets etc etc.

2) The software will support any ESC/POS printer such as Epson, Star or Toshiba, it doe does not matter whether they are Ethernet or USB, again this will depend on your hardware setup, if you are having a printer with each till then you could use USB printers, if printers are to be shared an Ethernet printer is a good choice.

3) The software supports most RJ11 Cash Drawers, these are usually powered and the draw fired open by the receipt printer in most cases, but some POS hardware connected the drawer directly to the PC via a RJ11 cable.

Hope this information helps.

Its best you go through the sample database which is installed with the software. am sure within a few days you can setup your own database with what you require.

if you have any specific queries in the setup, you can post here to get some help.

Goodluck
