I had just downloaded the samba software and tried to print a ticket (printing from an hp printer)
I had arranged having the hp as the default ticket printer yet nothing.
Would love a solution to this.

Change printer type to Windows Printer.
You probably still have it set to Ticket Printer which is designed for actual receipt printers like the Epson TM-T20.

I changed it to port printer and got this message:
Error:
Given port name does not start with COM/com or does not resolve to a valid serial port.
What version of SambaPOS are you using ?
Port Printers are Pole Displays or specific printers that normally don't use windows drivers.
I am using samba pos 2
Samba seems to be printing the invoicing and the statements well on my normal HP printer.
However its just the tickets that are not printing from my HP printer.
