Using Customer Accounts

How can i send the customer debth to customer accounts .  At the payment screen i can click cash  or credit card. but the customer account button doesnt works.  İ guess there must be some settings to do. but i couldnt find.  Thank u.

Hi. U must create an account for your customer. when u create a customer u see save and cerate an account buttons. if u didnt create an account for ur customer, customer account button does not works.

When you created the Customer did you click 'Create Account' ?

Do you have an Account Type set for Customers ? And if so is it a credit or debit account?

If it is credit, then by default you can't use the account unless there is a credit balance (prepay), or you need a custom field in the Customer Entity Type called 'Credit Limit' and set a value for how much they can spend in total - like $200.00

I am having the same problem and having a hard time understanding the whole credit vs debit account settings.

Credit - It's like a prepaid account. The account has to be in credit to be used. This type is used mostly for Customer Loyalty.
Debit - Your tradional account of book it up and pay later.
